Qualcomm Appoints Former Intel Foundry Executive Kevin O'Buckley as Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain

IT Home, February 27 — Qualcomm announced on February 26, California local time, that former Intel foundry executive Kevin O’Buckley will assume the role of Executive Vice President of Global Operations and Supply Chain at Qualcomm starting March 2, reporting to Qualcomm Executive Vice President, CFO, and COO Akash Palkhiwala.

Kevin O’Buckley previously served as Vice President and General Manager of the Foundry Services Division at Intel; at Qualcomm, he will be responsible for leading the company’s global semiconductor business, including manufacturing engineering, foundry and supplier collaborations, supply chain, and procurement.

Akash Palkhiwala stated:

Kevin has extensive operational expertise, outstanding business leadership, and decades of experience in expanding complex semiconductor businesses and delivering custom chips for data centers and edge devices. His leadership will further strengthen our global operations as we continue to deliver industry-leading high-performance, low-power computing, AI, and connectivity products at scale.
