State Grain and Oil Information Center: Expected soybean meal inventory at oil mills around 550,000 tons by the end of March
Recently, Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture actively addressed soybean export quarantine issues and sent officials to China for negotiations. Market concerns about soybean import supplies are gradually easing. Over the weekend, soybean meal trading volume declined slightly, and spot inventories at oil mills increased modestly. This week, the operating rate of soybean processing at oil mills slightly decreased, and soybean meal inventories are expected to slightly decline to around 550,000 tons by the end of the month, down about 100,000 tons year-on-year. As of March 20, 2026, domestic the three major oilseed commercial inventories slightly decreased to 1.99 million tons, down 60,000 tons week-on-week, up 50,000 tons month-on-month, and down 40,000 tons year-on-year, which is 170,000 tons higher than the average for the past three years.
