School of Performing Arts ranks (Performing Arts) 10th globally in QS World University Subject Rankings
The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts has once again ranked 10th worldwide in the 2026 QS World University Rankings by Subject (Performing Arts), and first in Asia.
Chairman of the Academy’s Board of Governors, Mr. Wong Ju-wing, stated that QS’s recognition fully affirms the Academy’s persistent efforts and dedication over the years, as well as its firm commitment to nurturing the next generation of performing arts talents. This achievement not only enhances the “Study in Hong Kong” brand image but also highlights Hong Kong’s growing international reputation as a world-class higher education hub. We look forward to strengthening collaboration with all stakeholders to promote arts education, preserve cultural heritage, and contribute more to solidifying Hong Kong as an international crossroads of Eastern and Western cultures.
President of the Academy, Ms. Chan Shing-ying, said that this ranking fully demonstrates the Academy’s unwavering pursuit of high-level arts education. It not only showcases excellence across interdisciplinary programs such as Chinese opera, dance, drama, film and television, music, and stage and production arts but also consolidates its leading position in performing arts education in Asia, the Greater Bay Area, and Mainland China. This recognition will also provide strong momentum for the Academy’s future development, including campus construction in the Northern Metropolis.
