TechFlow News - On March 25, according to Golden Ten Data reports, COSCO Shipping Container announced a service notice that starting immediately, it will resume new booking operations for regular containers on routes from the Far East to Middle Eastern Gulf countries including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq. The resumption of shipments does not mean that COSCO Shipping's container vessels can transit through the Strait of Hormuz. Multiple COSCO Shipping representatives stated that vessels will not transit through the strait for now but will adopt a similar approach to CMA CGM's previous plan—first shipping containers by sea to Sohar Port in Oman on the eastern side of the strait, as well as Khor Fakkan and Fujairah ports in the UAE, and Jeddah Port in Saudi Arabia, then using land transportation to redistribute containers to these countries.
