Liang Feng-yi Reappointed Chair of Asia-Pacific Committee of International Organization of Securities Commissions
The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) stated that it welcomes Chief Executive Officer Carrie Lam to be reappointed by the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) as Chair of its Asia-Pacific Regional Committee.
Her second two-year term will commence on the date of the IOSCO Annual Conference in May 2026.
Carrie Lam expressed her anticipation of further strengthening the resilience of the regional capital markets and ensuring that the Asia-Pacific region can voice a strong and balanced presence in global financial dialogues. Securities regulators in the region will work together to address various related issues, such as online investment scams, digital assets, public and private markets, and enhancing cross-border regulation and enforcement cooperation.
