US to Launch Next-Generation Aircraft Pilot Program

The U.S. Department of Transportation and its Federal Aviation Administration recently announced the launch of advanced air mobility and electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft pilot programs in 26 states across the United States, promoting the development of new aviation applications such as air taxis and short takeoff and landing aircraft. In a statement, the U.S. Department of Transportation said the program aims to accelerate the safe integration of next-generation aircraft into the national airspace system and to provide data for future regulatory rulemaking. These aircraft are expected to be used in personal transportation, regional transit, cargo delivery, and emergency medical services in the future. (People’s Financial News)
