London Jewish Community Organization Ambulance Set on Fire; UK Prime Minister Condemns Attack

Four ambulances belonging to a Jewish community organization in London, UK, were set on fire in the early hours of the 23rd. Police are investigating it as a “hate crime against Jews.” The London Fire Brigade received a call at 1:40 a.m. reporting a vehicle fire in a residential area in Golders Green, North London. When firefighters arrived, they found multiple gas cylinders on the affected ambulances had exploded, causing windows in a nearby apartment building to shatter. The fire was subsequently extinguished, and no injuries were reported. Golders Green has a large Jewish population. According to the London Metropolitan Police, the burned ambulances were operated by a Jewish community medical volunteer organization called “Rescue.” The police are treating the incident as a “hate crime against Jews.” The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities are pursuing three suspects, but no arrests have been made yet.
