On the evening of March 23 local time, an explosion and fire occurred at the Valero refinery in Port Arthur, Texas. Multiple sources indicate that the incident may have been caused by a failure in industrial heating equipment. local law enforcement said the explosion was accompanied by a loud bang and black smoke.
