Coin World News: Claude posted that users can now enable Claude to operate their computer to complete tasks. This feature can open applications, browse websites, fill out spreadsheets, and perform any desktop operations. It is currently in research preview, supporting macOS only, and can be used in Claude Cowork and Claude Code. Claude will prioritize using connected integrations (such as Slack, calendar, etc.). When the required tool has no connector, it will request user permission to directly open applications on the screen. Users can assign tasks on their phone and then leave, and view results on their computer after completion. Users can also set up recurring tasks, such as having Claude scan emails every morning or pull reports every Friday. This feature is currently limited to Pro and Max users.
