People’s Financial News, March 24 — According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, China has achieved new results in its latest strategic breakthrough in mineral exploration. In the Maoniu Ping mining area of Mian County, Sichuan Province, the second-largest light rare earth mineral deposit in the world has been discovered. It is reported that in the verification and exploration project of rare earth mineral resources in the Maoniu Ping mining area, an additional 9.6656 million tons of rare earth oxides have been found, increasing reserves by over 300%. This makes it the second-largest in terms of in-production rare earth mine reserves worldwide.
