3.23 Review: Violent rebound, give back what you took from me.
Today, I won’t go into detail about the market. Last night’s review and this noon’s midday session, Google’s two consecutive article titles are “Not Pessimistic” and “The Tighter the Spring, the Greater the Rebound.” Whether tonight’s news is positive or not, at this level, the market should have already stopped falling and started rebounding. After excessive panic, it’s time to put away the pessimism and get ready to pick up cheap chips with money. [Taogu Ba]
Currently, the big gold retraced again, Brent crude oil plummeted sharply, A50 surged straight up, and European and US stocks rebounded violently. It’s foreseeable that Asia-Pacific markets will open high tomorrow, and most of the bullets have been fired by the end of the session. I originally wanted to hold some positions to continue buying the panic dip tomorrow, but it seems there’s little chance now.
Looking at the US stocks tonight, the tech sector is the strongest, with AXT, Nvidia, and Lumen all soaring. However, this sector has always been inversely correlated with the Middle East line. A big gap-up tomorrow is inevitable. It’s like when conflicts escalate, and oil prices spike—it’s a good early signal.
In terms of energy substitution, today’s most resilient or strongest sectors are electricity and coal. Whether oil futures rise or fall, I personally believe it doesn’t affect the logic of these sectors. After this incident, countries and regions facing energy shortages will need to focus on developing new energy sources. The same applies to coal. Currently, new energy construction is too slow. The only short-term solution to rising oil and natural gas prices is coal. I remain optimistic about it. Big gold is unpredictable; it might Toco again tomorrow. Therefore, energy substitution will still be the main theme for some time to come, without question.
