U.S. Media: U.S. and Iran Communicate Through Foreign Ministers of Three Countries

Xinhua News Agency Washington, March 23 — The U.S. Axios news website quoted a U.S. source on the 23rd, saying that over the past two days, foreign ministers from Turkey, Egypt, and Pakistan have been exchanging messages between the U.S. and Iran.

The source stated that the three foreign ministers held talks with U.S. Special Envoy Wittekov and Iranian Foreign Minister Alaghazi.

The report also cited another U.S. source familiar with the matter, saying, “Mediation is underway and making progress. The discussions involve ending the war and resolving all outstanding issues. We hope to receive a response soon.”

Earlier, U.S. President Trump said that the U.S. and Iran had engaged in “very good and productive” talks over the past two days. However, Iran stated that there is no dialogue between Iran and the U.S.
