SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recently reiterated his confidence in the aerospace giant’s artificial intelligence efforts, while warning that companies that do not adopt the technology may face the risk of being eliminated.

On Monday, the official account of prediction market platform Kalshi shared Musk’s earlier comments about SpaceX leading the AI race. “Elon Musk states that SpaceX will ‘far surpass’ all other companies in the AI field,” Kalshi’s post said.

In response to the Kalshi post, Musk corrected the statement, saying that SpaceX will surpass “the sum of all other companies.”

Another user shared an old video of Musk, in which the billionaire predicted that companies that do not adopt AI will fall behind.

He shared that a computer handling a single spreadsheet “will outperform” a whole building full of human employees. “A fully AI-driven company will destroy non-AI companies,” Musk said in the video.

When responding to the user, Musk reaffirmed his stance, saying, “It’s not that I necessarily want this to happen, but it will happen.”

Interestingly, the billionaire previously stated that Tesla does not plan to lay off any human employees and outlined that his company is considering expanding its workforce because AI tools will significantly boost Tesla’s human productivity.

He also reiterated his “general high-income” statement, saying that AI will enable the company to “issue currency” to people, as the technology will lead to “deflation” in the economy.
