Iran has not contacted the US directly or through intermediaries, the Iranian Fars news agency reported, citing a source.

"There is no direct or indirect connection with Donald Trump, who backed down when he heard that all power plants in Western Asia would be targeted," the statement said.
Earlier, the US president ordered a postponement of strikes on Iran's energy grid, stating that Washington and Tehran had held productive talks over the past two days.
