Major token unlock wave last week: ZRO and many other projects prepare to unlock
According to information from BlockBeats, this period is witnessing a large-scale token release from many leading projects. Data from Token Unlocks shows that ZRO, ARB, KAITO, and several other tokens have released significant amounts of tokens during this time, which could cause market fluctuations.
ZRO leads in release size with nearly $55 million
LayerZero (ZRO) experienced the largest unlock, with approximately $55.53 million worth of tokens released on March 20, accounting for 5.64% of the total circulating supply. Updated data shows ZRO currently has a circulation rate of 25.23%, indicating many tokens are still locked. This notable release could impact the supply and demand dynamics of the token in the market.
Other tokens also see significant unlocks
In addition to ZRO, ARB (Arbitrum) also underwent a substantial release on March 16, valued at about $9.65 million, representing 1.78% of the circulating supply. However, with a current circulation rate of 60.41%, ARB has locked a large portion of its tokens.
BARD (Lombard) experienced the most notable percentage-based unlock, with $32.43 million released on March 17, equivalent to 11.09% of the circulating supply. This indicates BARD is still in the early token distribution phase, with a circulation rate of only 22.50%.
KAITO also released a significant amount—about 18 million tokens on March 20, valued at approximately $6.3 million, representing 5.19% of the current circulating supply with a circulation rate of 24.14%.
Weekly token unlock schedule
Besides the main projects, other tokens also experienced unlocks during this period:
Key points to watch regarding these token releases
This large-scale unlock could put downward pressure on prices, especially for tokens like ZRO and BARD with high release percentages. Investors should pay attention to supply and demand dynamics during this period, as the influx of new tokens may influence market sentiment. However, these projects typically have clear token distribution plans, and unlock events are often anticipated by the market, so the actual impact may differ from initial expectations.
