On March 18, financial industry news: Chongqing Financial Regulatory Bureau announced approval for Yuan Wei to serve as Director and Chairman of Ancheng Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Ancheng P&C Insurance”).

On September 28, 2025, Ancheng P&C Insurance held a cadre meeting, nominating Yuan Wei as the company’s Chairman candidate.

Public information shows that Yuan Wei, male, born in August 1968. He holds a master’s degree, a Ph.D. in Management, and is an engineer. He started working in 1990, initially engaged in engineering technology. In 1998, he entered the financial regulatory field, working at the China Securities Regulatory Commission, People’s Bank of China, Chongqing Financial Work Office, and Chongqing Local Financial Supervision Bureau, holding positions such as director, deputy director, and deputy bureau chief. In January 2022, he was elected Vice District Mayor of Dadukou District, Chongqing. In April 2024, he became Deputy Party Secretary of Chongqing Rural Commercial Bank.
