【Hang Lung Group】 One Year After Li Zhaoji's Passing, Charitable Spirit Continues as Hang Lung and Li Zhaoji Foundation Distribute 50,000 Blessing Bags to Citizens

March 17th is the lunar birthday of Lee Shau Kee, founder of Henderson Land Development Group, and also marks the first anniversary of his passing. To commemorate Lee Shau Kee and carry forward his spirit of charity and kindness, yesterday, in collaboration with the Lee Shau Kee Foundation, the company distributed 50,000 lucky bags at 50 locations across Hong Kong. The bags contained fragrant rice and health soup packs, symbolizing abundance and well-being. Through this act, they conveyed care and blessings to the community and expressed gratitude for the unwavering support from the public over the past half-century.

The 50 distribution points are located across various districts in Hong Kong, including several large residential estates under the group, all branches of the Home Convenience Stores, the Ming Kee Gas Customer Service Center, Harbour Grand Hong Kong and Fanling E-Fun Shopping Mall under the Hong Kong Ferry Group, North Point (East) Ferry Pier, Prince Edward and Nanchang community centers, Po Wai Cheung Sha Wai Village, and multiple courier stations and storefronts that lend space.

Henderson regularly distributes vegetarian meal packs on the first and fifteenth days of the lunar month

This charity bag distribution campaign received enthusiastic responses from over 200 volunteers within the group. Henderson Land Development’s Executive Director and Director of the Home Foundation, Sun Guolin, personally participated, working alongside volunteers to distribute the lucky bags to the community. Sun Guolin stated that Lee Shau Kee was not only an outstanding business leader but also a highly respected philanthropist. Over the years, he cared deeply for society, practiced charity selflessly, and embodied the noble spirit of “Water benefits all things without contention.” The group will continue to uphold Lee Shau Kee’s charitable spirit, giving back to society in various ways, and working with all sectors to build a harmonious and inclusive Hong Kong.

Since September last year, Henderson has been distributing vegetarian meal packs to citizens and registered members at Home Convenience Stores, Prince Edward, and Nanchang community centers on the first and fifteenth days of the lunar calendar. This year marks Henderson’s 50th anniversary. Since mid-January, the group has launched various community and charity activities, including charity runs, elderly reunion banquets, and community fun days. In just two months, over 70,000 people have benefited, including seniors, youth, children with illnesses, and grassroots families.
