  1. The three major U.S. stock indexes all closed higher, with the Dow up 0.5% at 47,740.8 points, the S&P 500 up 0.83% at 6,795.99 points, and the Nasdaq up 1.38% at 22,695.95 points;

  2. Large-cap tech stocks mostly rose, with Nvidia up over 2%, Google up more than 2%, Apple up nearly 1%, Tesla up 0.49%, Facebook up 0.39%, Amazon up 0.13%, and Microsoft up 0.11%;

  3. Chinese concept stocks mostly rose, with Kingsoft Cloud up over 19%, BrainRegen over 10%, Bilibili up over 6%, Xpeng Motors over 6%, Canadian Solar up over 4%, and Semiconductors Inc. up over 3%. iQIYI fell nearly 7%, and Zai Lab dropped over 2%;

  4. The three major European stock indexes all closed lower, with Germany’s DAX down 0.77% at 23,409.37 points, France’s CAC 40 down 0.98% at 7,915.36 points, and the UK FTSE 100 down 0.34% at 10,249.52 points;

  5. COMEX gold futures fell 0.19% to $5,148.70 per ounce, while COMEX silver futures rose 3.60% to $87.34 per ounce;

  6. WTI crude oil main contracts closed down 6.4% at $85.08 per barrel; Brent crude main contracts fell 4.54% to $88.48 per barrel;

  7. At the New York close, the US dollar index fell 0.24% to 98.72, and offshore RMB against the dollar rose 217.8 basis points to 6.8875;

  8. London base metals were mixed, with LME zinc up 0.85% at $3,326.0 per ton, LME copper up 0.44% at $12,919.0 per ton, LME tin up 0.06% at $50,095.0 per ton, LME nickel down 0.22% at $17,430.0 per ton, and LME aluminum down 1.68% at $3,388.0 per ton;

  9. U.S. Treasury yields all declined, with the 2-year yield down 0.19 basis points at 3.54%, the 3-year down 1.41 basis points at 3.556%, the 5-year down 3.48 basis points at 3.685%, the 10-year down 3.28 basis points at 4.096%, and the 30-year down 5 basis points at 4.713%;

  10. Most European bond yields declined, with France’s 10-year government bond yield down 0.5 basis points at 3.504%, Germany’s 10-year at 2.852%, Italy’s 10-year at 3.607%, and Spain’s 10-year at 3.341%. The UK’s 10-year yield rose 1.8 basis points to 4.644%.
