On March 9th local time, Microsoft announced the latest update to the Copilot intelligent assistant, with the biggest new feature being Copilot Cowork developed in partnership with Anthropic. Copilot Cowork is designed to handle long-term, multi-step complex tasks, such as preparing for client meetings with just one command: creating presentations, summarizing financial data, sending emails to the team, scheduling preparation time, and more. Charles Ramana, President of Microsoft Business Applications and Intelligent Agents, said, “Cowork is a new type of chat tool and a new way to interact with AI. We no longer need to supervise and chat with AI as we did before; instead, we can delegate tasks to it completely, just like treating it as a team member.”
