🇺🇸 SEC Proposes Limiting Rule 15c2-11 to Equities Only

Commissioner Hester Peirce is now asking the public whether crypto assets should fall under this rule.

Why it matters:
If crypto is excluded, broker-dealers could trade digital assets OTC without heavy equity-style compliance, making it far easier for Wall Street to enter crypto markets.
