Import Russia Dynamic Coal Spot Price Performance Weak

Abstract generation in progress

On March 16, the spot prices for imported Russian thermal coal showed a weak trend. Due to the off-season factors, the market remains weak with low demand. Terminal users in the Jiangsu region are tentatively inquiring about goods, but this has not significantly boosted spot transactions for Russian coal. Traders’ spot quotes are stable but slightly declining. Currently, the Q5500 Russian coal bottom-of-hopper price in Jiangsu is 760 yuan/ton. The forward spot prices for Russian thermal coal are also weak. In the international market, the phased demand release in India, South Korea, and other regions has weakened, coupled with continuous declines in domestic port coal prices, which has undermined foreign mine price support. Some mines have slightly lowered their quotes. The current CFR price for Q5500 Panama ships is $95/ton, and for Q4600 Panama ships is $74/ton. (My Steel Network)
