JD.com Self-operated Home Decoration Makes Debut, Reconstructing Industry Standards with AI to Enhance User Experience

Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network News (Reporter Liu Xuan) — On March 13, JD.com launched its AI smart home renovation brand, JD Home Renovation, entering the market with a self-operated model to redefine new standards in home improvement. Using AI and a super supply chain capability, it drives the intelligent and standardized upgrade of the home renovation industry, providing consumers with a one-stop, full-home tech residential solution. On the same day, JD Home Renovation released the industry’s first high-integration intelligent product based on the JoyAI large model developed independently, and launched an industrialized delivery platform to reshape the user home renovation experience.

JD Group Vice Chairman and CEO Xu Ran said that home renovation involves many categories, with dispersed suppliers, and consumers face many pain points such as scattered connections, opaque pricing, and lack of after-sales support. JD aims to solve these issues through standardization, transparency, and intelligence.

Xu Ran further explained that in terms of products, JD will help consumers bypass complex connections and identification processes through standardized procedures, transparent pricing, and intelligent capabilities, pushing the renovation industry from the “assembly machine era” into the “brand machine era.” Regarding pricing, based on the global brand source-connected “super supply chain,” JD’s self-operated home renovation is committed to finding the most cost-effective home renovation, furniture, and appliance products for users. In terms of service, JD Home Renovation’s industrialized delivery platform’s standardized services ensure construction quality and service experience, eliminating consumers’ after-sales support issues and providing a trustworthy one-stop home renovation solution.

It is reported that JD Home Renovation will also fully enter JD MALL, planning to cover 30 cities nationwide by 2026 to meet the home scene consumption needs such as customized renovation and home improvement. Additionally, JD Home Renovation will fully open franchise opportunities, collaborate with industry partners to create a healthy new ecosystem, and aim to achieve GMV of over 30 billion yuan in the next three years.
