Jensen Huang: Every Company Needs to Formulate a "Lobster Strategy"
On Monday, local time, at NVIDIA’s 2026 GTC conference in San Jose, California, CEO Jensen Huang issued a call to global companies: every company needs to develop a “Lobster Strategy.”
Huang highly praised this project. He believes that OpenClaw “provides the industry with exactly what it needs at the most appropriate time.”
“OpenClaw enables us to create personal intelligent agents,” Huang said. “Its impact is incredible.”
The “Windows Moment” in AI
To illustrate the commercial potential and industry position of OpenClaw, Huang compared it to foundational infrastructure in tech history.
He pointed out that the significance of OpenClaw for AI is comparable to Windows for personal computers. Its industry influence can even rival Linux operating systems, Kubernetes cloud projects, and HTML.
“It allows the entire industry to leverage this open-source stack and develop applications based on it to create value,” Huang emphasized.
NemoClaw: Solving Security Challenges
From an enterprise market perspective, the biggest obstacle to deploying open-source AI models is data security. NVIDIA provided a solution for commercialization at this conference.
Huang admitted that using OpenClaw carries a significant security risk. To address this, NVIDIA officially launched its customized version—NemoClaw, which allows users to add privacy and security controls to their AI agents (or “claws”).
“It has network fences and built-in privacy routers. Therefore, we can protect and restrict the ‘claws’ within the company and ensure their security,” Huang explained.
OpenClaw’s creator, Peter Steinberger (who has been recruited by OpenAI but the project remains open source), expressed strong support for NVIDIA’s commercialization efforts in a statement: “With NVIDIA and the broader ecosystem, we are building intelligent agents and fences that enable anyone to create powerful, secure AI assistants.”
