BYD and JD.com Reach Business Cooperation Agreement to Build New "People·Vehicle·Energy Replenishment" Ecosystem
On March 13, 2026, BYD (002594) and JD.com officially signed a business cooperation agreement at BYD’s headquarters in Shenzhen, and cut the ribbon for the country’s first fast-charging station jointly operated by both parties. BYD Public Business Division General Manager Wang Junbao, Vice General Managers Yu Wanan and Xie Jinfeng, along with relevant leaders, and JD.com Corporate Business Vice President Li Zhiyong, JD.com Shenzhen Regional General Manager Wang Jun, and leaders from JD Auto, JD Innovation Retail, JD Qixian Coffee, JD Pay, and other business units attended and witnessed the event.
This cooperation focuses on energy replenishment service scenarios at fast-charging stations, further deepening the partnership, and opening a new chapter in the integration of new energy charging and internet ecosystems. It will provide users with more convenient, efficient, and warm charging experiences, achieving mutual benefits and win-win results. Previously, BYD and JD.com had already reached multiple agreements in areas such as user points redemption and procurement supply chain collaboration. BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and fast-charging technology set a new global mass production speed record: charging from 10% to 70% in just 5 minutes; from 10% to 97% in only 9 minutes; and from -30°C, charging from 20% to 97% in just 3 minutes more than at room temperature. This breakthrough addresses the global challenges of slow charging and low-temperature charging in the first half of the electric vehicle era, making charging as fast as refueling.
Unlike traditional single-function charging stations, BYD and JD.com’s fast-charging stations focus on “energy replenishment + services.” Relying on JD’s comprehensive supply chain, years of offline retail operation experience, and intelligent digital services, these stations are upgraded from simple charging points to integrated “people·car·energy” service stations. The first collaboration, the Ping Shan fast-charging station, features diverse consumption scenarios including JD Convenience Stores, Qixian Coffee, and D Space Cultural and Creative Boutique. It operates 24/7 through an intelligent cloud monitoring system, providing users with high-quality charging and energy replenishment experiences. In the future, both parties will collaborate extensively on station site selection, charging rights, vehicle ecosystems, and more. Leveraging JD’s widespread office parks and logistics hubs, they will support high-quality site selection for fast-charging networks and accelerate deployment. Additionally, they will pursue precise, scenario-based marketing collaborations, exploring innovative business models such as member point interoperability, charging rights linkage, vehicle ecosystems, and convenient payments.
Both sides believe that with their core strengths and collaborative efforts, they will continue to make breakthroughs in the integration of new energy charging and internet ecosystems, promote industry upgrades, and bring users a more convenient, efficient, and warm travel experience, jointly creating a new blueprint for high-quality industry development!
