National Bureau of Statistics: Service Industry Production Index for January-February Rose 5.2% Year-on-Year, Accelerating 0.2 Percentage Points from December of Last Year

People’s Financial News, March 16 — Data released by the National Bureau of Statistics shows that from January to February, the national service industry production index increased by 5.2% year-on-year, accelerating by 0.2 percentage points compared to December of the previous year.

By industry, the production indices for information transmission, software and information technology services, leasing and business services, finance, transportation, warehousing, postal services, accommodation, and catering industries grew by 10.1%, 8.2%, 7.0%, 6.3%, and 5.4%, respectively.

In February, the service industry business activity index was 49.7%, up 0.2 percentage points from the previous month; the service industry business activity expectation index was 55.8%. Among them, the business activity indices for accommodation, catering, cultural, sports, and entertainment industries remained above 60%, indicating a high-level prosperity zone.
