A UK High Court judge has dismissed a motion to strike out a case involving allegedly stolen 2,323 Bitcoin. Plaintiff Ping Fai Yuen ( claimed that his estranged wife Fun Yung Li ) obtained the seed phrase for his hardware wallet using home surveillance footage and transferred the Bitcoin in August 2023. The Bitcoin is currently worth approximately $172 million and remains scattered across 71 blockchain addresses. The judge ruled that while traditional property law grounds do not apply, the case may proceed on other legal bases.
