Public Storage (NSA) to buy NSA Storage, creating ~4,600 U.S. locations

Public Storage announced an agreement to acquire NSA Storage, which will add over 1,000 locations and 550,000 units across 38 states. This acquisition will expand Public Storage’s portfolio to nearly 4,600 locations and 330 million net rentable square feet, making it the largest owner and operator of self-storage sites in the U.S. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2026, subject to shareholder and unitholder approval and other customary conditions.
