Weiming Environmental Protection: The consortium plans to invest no more than $175 million to develop the Bali project
People’s Financial News, March 13 — Weiming Environmental Protection (603568) announced on March 13 that on March 2, the company received a notice of award from PT Danantara Investment Management (referred to as “DIM”), confirming that the consortium led by the company has been awarded the Bali project. The project primarily involves managing municipal waste in Denpasar City and Batuan District, Bali Province, Indonesia. It plans to build a 1,500-ton-per-day incineration and power generation facility, along with leachate treatment facilities. Recently, the company and its subsidiary ALPHA completed the signing of the “JOINT VENTURE AGREEMENT” with DIM to invest in and develop the Bali project. The construction period is two years, with a 30-year operational partnership starting from commercial operation. The total investment will not exceed $175 million. The company plans to establish a joint venture company as the specific implementation entity, responsible for the investment and construction of the Bali project.
