Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu Makes Appearance, Threatens to Assassinate Iran's New Supreme Leader! Alarms Sound in Multiple Locations During Speech, Reveals Daily Calls with Trump
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu appears, threatening to assassinate Iran's new Supreme Leader! Sirens sounded in multiple locations during his speech, revealing daily conversations with Trump, both sides communicating “frankly and openly.”\n\nAccording to CCTV News, on the evening of March 12, local time, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu held his first press conference since launching a large-scale airstrike against Iran.\n\nAlmost simultaneously with his speech, air raid sirens sounded in multiple locations, including Tel Aviv in central Israel, as a new wave of Iranian missile attacks approached. It is currently unclear where exactly Netanyahu was holding the press conference.\n\nNetanyahu used this occasion to defend the joint military strikes with the U.S. against Iran, subtly threatening to assassinate Iran's new Supreme Leader, Muqtada Khamenei, and admitting that the airstrikes conducted by Israel and the U.S. may not necessarily topple the Iranian regime.\n\nNetanyahu stated that in the current bombing campaign by the U.S. and Israel against Iran, besides aiming to destroy Iran’s missile and nuclear capabilities, they are also creating conditions for the Iranian people to overthrow the current regime. He also said Israel is conducting destructive strikes against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, their bases, street militias, and outposts — with more intense actions still to come.\n\nHe reiterated that if Israel does not act immediately, in a few months Iran will become immune to any strikes. Therefore, the U.S. and Israel are working together to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons and threatening global ballistic missiles.\n\nNetanyahu claimed that after nearly two weeks of U.S.-Israel airstrikes, Iran has “changed dramatically,” with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Basij militia “suffering heavy losses.”\n\nWhen asked about possible actions against Muqtada Khamenei and Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, Netanyahu said he would not “issue a life insurance policy” for them and stated he “does not plan to detail the plans or actions to be taken here.”\n\nWhen asked whether Israel is arming Iranian opposition groups and whether regime change in Iran is possible, Netanyahu said, “Even if there is no regime collapse, it will be weakened.” He added, “I will not go into detail about the actions we are taking. We are creating favorable conditions for regime change, but I will not deny. the regime’s fall must come from within, and we can help.”\n\nNetanyahu claimed that Iran and Hezbollah no longer pose the threats they once did. He also revealed that he has “daily calls” with U.S. President Trump, and their exchanges are “frank and open.”\n\nEditor | Jin Mingyu, Du Bo\n\nProofreader | Zhang Jinhe\n\nCover image source: CCTV International News\n\nDaily Economic News compiled from CCTV News and CCTV International News\n\nThank you for following Daily Economic News, where exciting updates are available every day.
