Techub News reports that according to The Block, the U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals rejected Custodia Bank's petition for en banc review of its denied application for a Federal Reserve master account on Friday with a 7-3 vote, upholding the panel's ruling from October 2025. The decision affirmed that the Federal Reserve has the authority to approve or deny master account applications from eligible institutions. Custodia Bank filed the en banc review petition in December last year, arguing that the original ruling misinterpreted the Monetary Control Act, which should grant eligible banks the right to obtain master accounts while limiting state-level banking regulatory authority, and raised constitutional issues. The case, which has spanned five years since 2022, has largely concluded its appellate process.
