Aster Launches Automatic Buyback Mechanism, Repurchasing 20%-40% of Daily Revenue for $ASTER Tokens

According to an Aster announcement, the platform has launched a Strategic Buyback Reserve mechanism. Based on the fifth phase of the buyback plan announced last month, it will automatically use 20%-40% of the platform’s revenue daily to buy back $ASTER tokens.

The initial on-chain buyback has already been executed through address 0x5E4969C41ca9F9831468B98328A370b7AbD5a397, aiming to dynamically respond to the market, reduce circulating supply, and strengthen the confidence of long-term holders.

On January 19th, White House economic advisor Hassett hinted that he is more likely to remain in his current position, essentially withdrawing from the race for Fed Chair.

Data from Kalshi and Polymarket shows that former board member Kevin Walsh’s chances of being elected have risen to approximately 60%, ahead of Hassett (15%–16%) and incumbent board member Waller (13%–14%).

Powell’s term expires on May 15th, and Trump is expected to announce his successor this month.

X Updates Creator Revenue Sharing Rules: Replies No Longer Count as Revenue, Only Timeline Views Count

Nikita Bier, X Product Manager and Solana Consultant, stated that X has updated its creator revenue sharing calculation rules. Replies no longer count as revenue; only timeline views from verified users (Premium) are counted.

However, if a reply itself appears on a Premium user’s timeline, it will still count as revenue.

Bitcoin Hashrate Falls to Four-Month Low, AI Competition for Electricity Resources Becomes Key Factor

The Bitcoin network hashrate recently fell below 1 ZH/s (1,000 EH/s), the lowest since September 2025.

Analysis indicates that miners, facing profit pressures, are shifting their electricity resources towards AI and high-performance computing. Although mining difficulty has been lowered four times since last November, and the price per hashrate has recently risen to $40 per PH/s/day, overall hashrate has still declined by nearly 15% from its peak last October.

The founder of Standard Hash stated that AI has become a real competitor to electricity, exacerbating the survival pressure on mining companies.
