Several cases have been solved in Shandong and other areas, with suspects apprehended; investigations show that criminals use overseas communication apps to contact victims and settle criminal proceeds through virtual currencies, making detection more difficult. The Justice Bureau reminds the public not to scan unknown QR codes and not to disclose personal information to unfamiliar platforms to avoid financial losses.
