CoinVoice has learned that the Shanghai Municipal Justice Bureau issued a notice reminding the public that recent scams involving fake supermarket "tasting cards" as bait have emerged across many regions in China. These criminal groups distribute false "tasting cards" offline to lure victims into scanning QR codes to join so-called "benefit groups," then carry out scams such as transferring money and offering rebates. Police reports indicate that multiple cases have been solved in Shandong and other areas, with several suspects arrested. Investigations show that criminals use overseas communication software to contact their handlers and settle criminal proceeds through virtual currencies, making detection more difficult. The Shanghai Municipal Justice Bureau reminds the public to stay vigilant: do not scan QR codes from unknown sources, do not disclose personal information to unfamiliar platforms, and avoid financial losses.
