On December 31, on-chain monitoring data shows that an Ethereum whale is adjusting its holdings strategy. This whale address bought 8,550 ETH at an average price of $2,991 one week ago, and is now beginning to reduce its position in batches.
The latest movement is that the address transferred 3,000 ETH to a major exchange 10 hours ago, equivalent to approximately $8.93 million. However, based on the current price, if this operation were to be sold immediately, it would face an unrealized loss of $43,000.
But this whale has not fully withdrawn. After reducing its holdings, the wallet still retains 5,550 ETH from its early position, which currently has an unrealized loss of about $46,000. Notably, the total Ethereum holdings in the entire wallet have reached 22,981 ETH, indicating that this large holder's long-term bullish attitude towards ETH remains unchanged. Market observers believe that the whale's reduction in holdings often reflects subtle changes in market sentiment.
