Bitcoin is being suppressed and is about to break out.
If you're wondering why BTC has been hovering between 87K and 90K, no matter how many people try to push it...
I have the answer for you.
And this could be resolved within the next approximately 72 hours.
Here's what is happening:
Bitcoin is sitting on a key options reversal level around 88K.
Above that level:
Market makers are actually forced to sell in green candles and buy back on pullbacks. Any rebounds are limited, and the price immediately returns to the middle.
Below that level:
Behavior completely changes, selling pressure self-reinforces, and volatility increases rather than being absorbed.
This is why the price is repeatedly pulled back to the same area. It's not because of traders.
Now, look at why 90K is always rejected.
There are a large number of call options at $90,000.
Whenever the price pushes up to that level, they hedge by selling spot BTC.
So what appears to be "selling pressure" is actually forced supply just happening where traders expect momentum.
That's why every attempt at 90K ends in failure.
On the downside, 87K is exactly the opposite.
There are a large number of put options positions there. As the price drops, traders hedge by buying spot. That's why pullbacks are immediately bought up.
This creates a tight range, which looks perfectly normal on the surface but is actually unstable.
The important reason for this now is time.
A large portion of the options open interest will expire on December 31st, the first day after the New Year.
About three-quarters of the current gamma exposure will vanish at expiration.
Once we pass December 31st, that pressure will completely disappear.
Not because people suddenly change their minds, but because the forces suppressing the price will cease.
By the way, I have been studying macroeconomics for 22 years and have been following Bitcoin since 2013. I predicted the recent two major market tops and bottoms.
When the next bottom arrives and I start buying BTC again, I will openly say so here so you can follow me.
