Recently, I've been pondering a question: it seems that the BTC ecosystem is undergoing a silent structural transformation.
In the past, on-chain execution was straightforward—smart contracts dictated everything. But now, things are different. Consider those complex application scenarios, involving numerous roles:
AI decision modules running strategies
Transaction routers selecting optimal paths
Cross-chain coordinators synchronizing states across different chains
Automated liquidation bots monitoring in real-time
RWA audit engines verifying off-chain assets
Risk analysis modules assessing exposure
And finally, the main contract executing operations
This is no longer a single entity executing alone, but a collaborative effort among multiple autonomous agents within an ecosystem—simply put, "multi-agent autonomy."
Can you imagine what problems this might bring?
When six different executing entities see different data, interpret information differently, and make different judgments, on-chain execution can easily lead to autonomous conflicts. These conflicts are not minor issues; they are one of the biggest hidden dangers for the future of the BTC ecosystem.
That's also why some people suggest establishing a unified "truth explanation" layer—so that all entities see the same trusted source of information. This way, conflicts can be resolved.
On the surface, this seems like a matter for oracles, but upon deeper reflection, its value goes far beyond that. It represents an upgrade of the entire ecosystem from simple execution to complex collaboration, which is worth paying attention to.
