Recently, many novice investors have been asking the same question: "I clearly see the market direction correctly, so why can't I make any money?"
I've heard this question too many times. It reminds me of a friend who once consulted me. He had $15,000 in his account, and his ability to select coins was actually pretty good, and his judgment of the overall trend was very accurate. Yet, he kept crashing at the same point—completely messing up the rhythm.
The market had only risen 5%, and he started to fear a pullback, hurriedly cutting his losses and exiting. And what happened next? The main upward wave just started, and he had already sold out. Later, he watched the coin price soar all the way up, and that feeling of regret—trust me, many people have tasted it.
I told him at the time: "Making money in the crypto world depends not on luck, but on the orderly rolling of positions." He adopted this approach to adjust his trading, and as a result, his account grew from $15,000 to $120,000. The whole process was smooth—no rushing, just following a logical plan.
So where exactly is the problem? It’s not a lack of insight, but messing up the rhythm.
Many people fall into a misconception: thinking that making big money in the crypto market requires precise predictions of the future. That’s a complete illusion. Based on my observations, most people losing money aren’t necessarily wrong about the direction; rather, they simply can’t turn their "correct view" into real profit.
The crypto market is completely different from traditional finance. It operates 24/7, with terrifyingly large fluctuations, influenced by news, capital flows, market sentiment, and a bunch of other factors. Even if your directional judgment is correct, if your entry timing is off or your mindset collapses, you can still lose money.
The most common rhythm issues are these: selling after a small rise, panicking after a small dip; trading whenever you have free time, chasing every fluctuation; going all-in with leverage, thinking you’ll get rich overnight. All these actions lead to one result: you see the right direction, but end up losing your principal.
