#数字资产市场动态 Can the crypto market really change destinies? I want to share a story that happened around me.
A friend of mine is a post-2000s, running a small company himself, with a steady annual profit of about 1.2 million. Last year, he entered the crypto world.
Initially, he invested a few thousand yuan in scam coins, using 3x leverage, and in a week, it turned into 60,000. After withdrawing from the exchange, he started to really study this market, especially the derivatives trading. By August, things started to change. He deposited 5,000 yuan and used 50x leverage to short the scam coin he bought, but he was liquidated in 3 seconds. He then deposited another 5,000 yuan, continued to short with 50x, and was liquidated after half an hour. That’s how he began his derivatives trading journey.
From August to December, he lost over 200,000 yuan just on scam coin contracts. During that time, he sat in the office every day watching the charts, neglecting his company’s affairs. Later, he found that scam coins were too volatile and the charts too fake, so he shifted to mainstream coins like BTC, SOL, and ETH.
Account records show that he accumulated a loss of 57,000 USDT on a certain exchange. Later, due to payment disputes, his deposit was restricted, and this ban lasted half a year.
Last year, after watching short videos, he saw BTC approaching $90,000 and started to get itchy again, sensing a shorting opportunity. He registered an account in Hong Kong and started trading on another platform. The most memorable moment was during the SOL surge to $210, when he used 80,000 USDT full margin to short... and as you can imagine, the outcome was not good.
What was the cost of all this? The girl he had been with for three years left him. On the day she left, she said: "I don’t want to marry a gambling dog."
Recently, he sold a Toyota Prado and a nearly unused Xiaomi car. Now he drives an old Nissan from over ten years ago. From a small boss, he has become a joke in others’ eyes.
Are you still hesitating whether to enter this market?
