According to reports, on December 7, a16z pointed out in its latest article that Bitcoin faces two major issues: governance efficiency and the initiative required for migration, and urgently needs to shift to quantum-resistant digital signatures.

The upgrade process for Bitcoin is slow, and the community finds it difficult to reach consensus on solutions, which could trigger a hard fork. In addition, the transition to quantum-resistant signatures requires asset holders to actively migrate their assets, making dormant coins vulnerable to attack.
Estimates show that the number of Bitcoins vulnerable to quantum attacks is in the millions, with a market value reaching hundreds of billions of US dollars.
