MaoDao: a Chinese Web3 club that challenges the global community

Abstract generation in progress

The MaoDao project, supported by Hash Global, officially launched as a dual-channel platform: Podium and Cat-Island. But it's not about the names — it's about the ambitions.

What's interesting here?

MaoDao is not just another Web3 project. Its bet is to create a “spiritual home” for the Chinese diaspora in the crypto world. Practically, this means:

  • Building a global Chinese Web3 community that operates without being tied to a single currency
  • Platform for KOL (influencers) in entertainment to manage their community
  • Universal identifier for moving users between Web3 projects

Development Status:

  • Dozens of users registered ( “friend whale” )
  • The redesign of the main platform has been completed.
  • Development of the internal platform in progress

Main idea: Web3 will be widely adopted in China only when it is independent of crypto volatility and has a user-friendly UX for the masses. MaoDAO sees itself as a bridge connecting Web3 tech teams with real use cases.

It is interesting to observe whether they will succeed in breaking into the Chinese market where many others have tried and failed.
