Don't remind me again today

Kolkata saw yet another crypto romance scam unfold—this time costing a local businessman around ₹1 crore (roughly $120K).

Here's how it went down: Guy meets woman on a matrimonial platform. Conversations get cozy. She mentions crypto investments, casually drops some "insider tips." He bites. Transfers funds to what he thought was a legit trading setup. Money vanishes.

Classic playbook, devastating outcome. These scams prey on trust built through personal connection—making them harder to spot than your average phishing attempt. The wedding site angle? Genius and cruel in equal measure. Victims rarely see it coming because emotional vulnerability clouds judgment.

Stay sharp out there. If someone you barely know starts talking investments before talking life goals, that's your red flag waving. No real relationship starts with "let me show you my portfolio."
