Depression levels by country: my personal pain against the global backdrop

Yesterday I came across this ranking and immediately put my head in my hands. What nonsense! I am from Ukraine myself, and we are only in 11th place? With the war, destroyed cities, and lost loved ones? Hell with such statistics.

Greenland is in first place with 6.61%? Of course! Permafrost and polar nights against real bombings. I feel that these figures do not reflect the reality we are experiencing.

Greece is second — 6.52%. Seriously? They have a tourist crisis and heat, while we have air raid sirens. And we are even behind Bahrain and Morocco on the list! Some institute IHME calculated that... they should have counted real tears instead of dry percentages.

Belarus is in 21st place, just 0.21% less than us. We are at war, and what are they doing? Are they enduring sanctions? And is that equivalent?

Russia is actually in 84th place! Well, why should they be sad? They are bombing others, not them.

It annoys me that such ratings are made by those who haven't lived a single day under shelling. They sit in their warm offices, sending out surveys. And then some crazy cryptocurrency exchange will use this hype to make cheap advertising, speculating on someone else's grief.

And China with their total control is in 109th place. Well, well, I totally believe in their open and honest statistics! When you are forbidden to say that you are unhappy, of course you will be in the ranking of the lucky ones.

Muslim countries are also oddly distributed. How is Palestine only in 5th place when considering what is happening there?

In short, if you want to know where it's really depressing - come to us in the east. Statistics won't show you how your mood drops with every air raid siren.
