Small crypto glossary: understand these damn numbers!

Abstract generation in progress

When I stroll through trading forums, I always get lost in those damn numerical abbreviations. So here’s my little personal breakdown of the units we see everywhere in the crypto trading world.

1K = 1000 units ( comes from the prefix "kilo" )

1M = 1 million (yeah, that makes sense...)

1E = 100 million (E like... uh... huge?)

1B = 1 billion (B as "billion" in English, not very French all this!)

1T = one trillion (T like "trillion" - those Americans complicating our lives again!)

I admit it took me a while to get my bearings. The first time I saw "1E", I thought we were talking about a new synthetic drug! And frankly, these platforms could make an effort to standardize all of this. Every time I switch trading apps, I have to relearn their silly jargon.

The worst is when I talk with my French friends and we mix everything up. "I put 1K on this shitcoin" - "You put 1000 euros?!" - "No, 1000 dollars!" And that's where the drama starts with the conversions...

Hey, I noticed that nobody ever talks about "1P" - maybe for "lost money mess" when we make impulsive trades at 4 AM?

In short, remember these little abbreviations and you'll look less like a newbie on the forums!

Attention: I might be saying anything, this is not financial advice. If you lose your money, it's not my fault!
