Betting on Disgrace: The Epstein Files Charade and the Vultures Circling

Abstract generation in progress

I watched with disgust as the DOJ's so-called "transparency initiative" dropped those pathetic Epstein files last month. What a joke! 200 pages of heavily redacted garbage that told us nothing we didn't already know. But the real story? How prediction markets have turned tragedy into sport.

Nearly $2 million in bets on Polymarket about which elites will be exposed? It's fucking sick if you ask me. I'm sitting here watching people place wagers on whether Bill Clinton (89% odds) or Prince Andrew (99%) will be named in documents, like it's some twisted horse race. David Koch at 100% odds with $1.8M in volume? The betting frenzy reveals more about our broken society than any redacted files ever could.

The Trump administration promised a bombshell through Bondi, delivering instead what social media rightly called "recycled crap." I'm not surprised. The powerful protect their own, regardless of political affiliation. Those right-wing groups thinking this would expose their enemies? Played like fiddles.

That "Evidence List" they're touting as new material? Three pages of vague references to items seized from Epstein's properties. A "LSJ logbook" from his island? Great. Meanwhile, 250+ victims wait for actual justice while we're fed scraps.

What infuriates me most is watching these prediction markets profit from human suffering. Bettors gambling on whether Tom Hanks (22% odds) or Oprah (19%) might be implicated shows how thoroughly entertainment has replaced empathy. We're so desperate for celebrity scandal we'll literally bet money on it.

The entire Phase 1 release was engineered to manipulate public discourse - creating the illusion of transparency while ensuring real accountability never materializes. The state's smoke and mirrors keep us debating redactions instead of demanding truth.

I don't expect the subsequent phases to reveal anything substantive. The game is rigged. The powerful win. The victims remain voiceless. And the prediction markets? They'll keep raking in millions as we treat systemic abuse like a fucking sports bet.
