Stefan Thomas, a German coder in America, got famous in crypto circles for something kinda tragic: he lost the key to 7,002 bitcoins. Worth about $220 million now. Just gone.

Back in 2011, Thomas made some educational video about crypto. Got paid in bitcoin. Lots of it. He tucked this digital gold into an IronKey USB drive. Seemed smart at the time. Super secure.

That IronKey security? Too good. Thomas forgot his password. The device has this feature - ten wrong guesses and it locks forever. He's already tried eight times. Two chances left. That's it.
