Stunning rumor! Musk's $50 billion acquisition of XRP?
There is an outrageous rumor circulating online that Elon Musk, the big boss of Tesla and SpaceX, plans to spend 50 billion dollars to buy Ripple's XRP cryptocurrency, and has even given a shocking price—over 600 dollars per coin! This price is much higher than the current market price of XRP.
This false news spread quickly, making some people holding XRP and those in the crypto trading circle very excited. However, I want to clarify that this is purely nonsense, with no reliable evidence to support it! After checking around, there is absolutely no official message from Musk himself or his company confirming this matter, not even a screenshot.
The source of the rumor seems to be a post by an account called "CryptoGeek" on social media, saying that Musk no longer loves Dogecoin and has become a fan of XRP. The post gained traction solely because everyone circulated it online, discussing it back and forth, without any real evidence to support the claims.
Thinking about it the other way around makes it clear that this is impossible. Musk is famously fond of Dogecoin and has publicly expressed his support many times; suddenly spending a huge amount to buy XRP? That's too unreasonable! Moreover, Ripple, as the owner of XRP, hasn't said a word and has never acknowledged that this is the case.
You see XRP's current price is hovering around a little over 2, and there hasn't been much movement. If there were really a shocking event like a $50 billion acquisition coming in, the price would definitely shoot up like a rocket. The fact that the price is so stable right now just shows that most people don't believe the rumors and are clear-headed!
