🚨🛑 Vitalik Buterin reveals his vision for Ethereum in 2025 📈

The co-founder of Ethereum, Vitalik Buterin, recently shared his key goals for the development of the network looking towards 2025.

Its main focus is to strengthen both the technical infrastructure and the social ecosystem of Ethereum. Among its priorities is to advance the layer 1 roadmap (Layer 1), improving aspects such as security, decentralization, and privacy of the blockchain.

Buterin highlighted specific areas such as single-block finality (single-slot finality), more efficient virtual machines, stateless design (statelessness), and system resilience.
This comes right when Cardano surpassed Ethereum in development activity, which adds pressure to the ETH team.

Vitalik also emphasized the importance of comprehensive security, open-source software, and privacy protection, especially in the use of wallets and applications without centralized intermediaries.

In addition to the central Ethereum protocol, Buterin is focused on broader initiatives that he calls "d/acc", which include communication tools, social development, governance mechanisms, and funding for public goods and open source.

He also mentioned other areas that interest him such as cryptography, operating systems, hardware, physical infrastructure, and biological defense, although he clarified that in some of these fronts he is not directly involved and has delegated responsibilities.
