Santiment addressed the economic impacts of tariffs in its report, considering both positive and negative aspects. On the positive side, tariffs can encourage production within the U.S., boosting employment and protecting American companies from foreign competition. However, Santiment also highlights the negative aspects, noting that consumers could suffer due to the rising costs of imported goods, and that other countries might retaliate, potentially leading to a global trade war.
Sentiment analysis highlights that investors are turning to traditional safe havens during this period of uncertainty. While it is noted that gold has increased by 20% over the last three months, rising to $3,190 per ounce, Bitcoin, despite being referred to as "digital gold," has so far followed more of the traditional market movements like the S&P 500 throughout 2025.
