The SEC Cryptocurrency Working Group discusses adding the stake function to ETP in the encryption industry

On February 14, PANews reported that according to a memorandum from the SEC, on February 5, 2025, the staff of the encryption Special Action Team met with representatives from Jito Labs and Multicoin Capital Management. The discussion focused on approaches to addressing regulatory issues related to encryption assets. Representatives from Jito Labs and Multicoin Capital Management provided accompanying documents, which were discussed during the meeting. The accompanying documents indicate that participants are expected to discuss two main topics at the meeting: (i) the ability to use stake as a feature of ETPs; and potential models for staking in certain encryption asset ETPs.
