Golden Finance reported that Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum, donated 100 ETH worth approximately $240,000 to the legal defense fund of Roman Storm, the developer of Tornado Cash, who was accused of Money Laundering. This is Vitalik's third support for the fund, which has raised over 327 ETH so far.
The U.S. judge rejected Storm's motion to dismiss the case, and the case will continue. Storm denies the charges and faces a maximum of 45 years in prison if convicted. Despite facing sanctions, Tornado Cash's deposits in the first half of 2024 still reached approximately $19 billion.
